What We Offer

Since 2019, Nickalus has taught students of all ages and skill levels. Through the years they have crafted a unique and extensive curriculum to fuel curiosity and love for music and art. Nickalus offers several teaching arrangements to fit the needs of every student. Not sure if your interest is covered in the curriculum? We are happy to work with you to create a tailored curriculum.

  • This covers a very in-depth to music and piano performance including, ear training, theory, efficient practice routines, ergonomics, period informed performances, and more.

    This is for the student who wants a completely holistic lesson applied through piano as the primary instrument.

  • Piano lessons focused on working through specific songs or genres. Some music experience is likely required based on the type of music. This is great for current and former pianists rather than beginners.

  • Learn the concepts of music theory such as song structure, harmony, voice leading, orchestration and more. Playing an instrument is not required but HIGHLY recommended to explore the concepts learned.

  • Learn how to create music in any genre. This course focus on monthly song creation and applied music theory. Learn to write music using traditional notation or modern Digital Audio Workstations.

    A background in music theory or an instrument is not required but Highly recommended.

  • Use creative coding to build digital synthesizers, visual effects, and audio-reactive art. Have an idea you want to make but not sure if these are the right program? Schedule a consult to assess your creative needs. (No generative AI tools will be used or allowed)

Versatile Skillset

Instead of just learning how to play a song, Nickalus gives their students the skills to learn ANY music. Every song can teach you something new in a different song.

Safe and Certified

For parents looking for teachers, Nickalus is a registered mandatory reporter in the state of Oregon, First Aid and CPR certified. Additional info and safety measures by request
