"No Fun" Was a single and music video created in 2021 and premiered in 2022 at an annual concert series: Burnside Sessions.

The music was influenced by Eastern European musicians such as IC3PEAK and other "witchouse" artists. It utilizes a sparse set of instrumentation including chromatic percussion, synth bass, and processed vocals. Drenched in reverb, the piece creates a dark atmosphere.

The lyrics present the frustration of necessary masking for some individuals in the LGBT community such as nonbinary, ngc and trans people. The frustration is present in the raw vocal performance by Jay Battin.

The visual aspect is chaotic and layered (I call it a "video collage") using overlaid frames rather than linear cuts. Inspired by visual artists such as Hidjiworld and Dave Free.

The project was premiered through, Burnside Sessions, an annual concert series hosted by the Mad Composer Lab that highlights artists of different genres and mediums focusing on art in the PNW. The premiere was livestreamed in consideration of Covid-19.
